Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo has praised the Anfield faithful on the club’s official website after making his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
Gakpo started for Liverpool in their FA Cup match against Premier League rivals Wolves at Anfield last night.
It was the Netherlands international forward’s first appearance for the Reds since his move from PSV in the January transfer window.
The Liverpool no. 18 played for 84 minutes.
The FA Cup third-round tie between Liverpool and Wolves ended in a 2-2 draw.
And Gakpo was impressed by the Anfield faithful, saying that the atmosphere created by the fans was “really great”.

Gakpo said: “Really great atmosphere.”

Encouraging debut
In our opinion, Cody Gakpo did well on his debut for Liverpool at Anfield.
The 23-year-old forward made a bright start to the FA Cup tie and created a half-chance.
The Netherlands international, who played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, was also involved in the second goal for Liverpool.
Now, of course, Gakpo could have done better, especially in the first half when he drifted out of play for a while, but his overall performance was very encouraging.
