New Leicester City signing Conor Coady is aware of the challenge the club face in the Championship.
Speaking to Sky Sports, as shared on their Twitter page, new Leicester City defender Conor Coady accepts the fact that the club will need to be at their best to succeed in the Championship this season.
The 10-cap England international said, “we know how tough the Championship season is…I’ve played in it before…We know how tough the season is going to be.” Coady recently arrived at the King Power Stadium in a £7.5 million switch from Everton, and will be desperate to help the club return to the Premier League at the first time of asking this season.

Leicester must heed Coady’s warning
Leicester City certainly shouldn’t be expecting an easy time of things this season in the Championship. Even though many will expect the recent Premier League and FA Cup winners to bounce straight back following their surprise relegation last season, Coady is correct to say it won’t be easy. New boss Enzo Maresca will certainly have to ensure that his charges are fully committed to the course throughout what will be a gruelling campaign, and make certain that no sense of complacency is allowed to creep in amongst the players.
The Foxes’ task will be made even harder should winger Harvey Barnes follow James Maddison out of the club. Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans has already departed on a free transfer, meaning it’ll be a new-look Leicester in the second tier next season. Harry Winks came into the club at the same time as Coady, to reinforce that depleted midfield contingent.
