Arsenal sold Joe Willock to Newcastle United in the summer of 2021, and now Jason Tindall has told BBC Radio Newcastle that he is “exceptional”.
The Newcastle assistant manager made the comments about Willock ahead of the Premier League game against Arsenal on Saturday.
Arsenal will take on Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League tomorrow.
Willock is likely to start for Eddie Howe’s side.
Praise for Joe Willock
Tindall told BBC Radio Newcastle: “Joe’s an exceptional talent as everybody at this football club knows. We know as a group of coaching staff and I’m sure the players know that themselves.
“Joe Willock’s still got a lot of developing to do as have all the players, he’s a young lad, got off to a great start when he arrived at the football club last year.
“He had a fantastic impact and we’ve been really pleased with Joe’s performances in training and the level of effort and commitment that he delivered against Brentford. He’s a huge talent. I think he’s going to be really a big player for this football club in the future.”

Are Arsenal regretting selling Willock?
Willock spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle from Arsenal.
And the 22-year-old was superb.
The midfielder scored eight goals in 11 Premier League starts for the Magpies.
Newcastle stayed in the Premier League.
And then Arsenal sold Willock to Newcastle for £25 million (Sky Sports).

The midfielder was expected to kick on for the Magpies, but his form has dipped.
Willock has made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
He has not scored or provided an assist.
Newcastle are rooted to the foot of the Premier League table.
As for Arsenal, the Gunners are challenging for the Champions League places.
In our view, Arsenal are not missing Willock at all.
