With Euro 2016 on the horizon, England have a number of selection issues to resolve before their first game in France.

After a strong Premier League campaign, there are a number of players in Roy Hodgson’s squad currently all vying for a starting place.

One of the areas where a decision has to be made is at right-back, where Nathaniel Clyne and Kyle Walker are competing for a place.

The Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool full-backs have both enjoyed decent campaigns and either would be worthy of a first team place.

So how did the two players compare in the stats this season? We decided to take a look.

And as it transpires, Kyle Walker came out on top in seven of the eight areas that we looked at.

On a per game basis, he won more tackles, more interceptions, and more defensive duels overall.

He also posted more effective blocked crosses per game and registered more ball recoveries per game also.

Offensively he was also better as he registered more key passes and accurate crosses per game, although Clyne registered more accurate passes per game.
