Arsenal face new competition for the signing of Chelsea striker Armando Broja, with Napoli now eyeing the Albanian international if star attacker Victor Osimhen leaves this summer.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the Serie A side have set out a shortlist of players as a contingency plan if their key striker leaves in the transfer window, with Arsenal also reportedly interested in Osimhen.
As per the report, Broja is a player Napoli are big fans of and could be viewed as the primary target for the club should Osimhen leave the Italian giants this summer, with the Nigerian international once again enjoying a fruitful season.
Arsenal are set to go big on a new striker this summer, and Osimhen is reportedly on Edu Gaspar’s list of potential signings, with Broja also being linked with the north London club as Chelsea brace themselves for bids for their young attacker.
As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, the Blues have placed a £58m price tag on their academy graduate, who this year has been a sensation with Southampton, with Broja bagging nine goals in all competitions for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
Indeed, given his physical stature and qualities on the ball, it makes sense why the likes of Arsenal and Napoli are interested in Broja, yet given the two situations the clubs find themselves in, it is likely that the Gunners will move for Osimhen ahead of the Chelsea talent.
Napoli star Osimhen is a more realistic option for Arsenal than Broja

With Napoli themselves valuing Osimhen at €100m (£84m), the striker could make a splash this summer if a club meets the valuation for the 23-year-old, and for Arsenal, the Nigerian appears to be a more readymade option than Broja for the upcoming transfer window.
Although the Chelsea star has been hailed as ‘outstanding’ by former Arsenal defender Martin Keown, Broja is still a player who has just spent one season in the Premier League, whilst Napoli star Osimhen is more experienced and could handle leading the frontline for the Gunners.
