Juventus are reportedly struggling to agree to a deal to sign Denis Zakaria this month, with Liverpool making an offer for the midfielder earlier in the week.
According to Sky Italia via Tutto Juve, the Old Lady are ‘struggling’ to reach an agreement with the Swiss midfielder. As per the report, Zakaria is eager to remain with Borussia Monchengladbach until the end of the summer.
Moreover, the 25-year-old is eyeing a move to the Premier League, with ESPN reporting that Liverpool have made a ‘serious’ offer for Zakaria this week. The midfielder is also being chased by the likes of Bayern Munich and Arsenal.
Zakaria’s contract expires at the end of this season, and the Bundesliga star will no doubt be one of the most in-demand names in European football this summer. The Swiss international has been one of Gladbach’s key players over the past few seasons.
However, this update from Italy seems to suggest that the likes of Liverpool are well in the driving seat to sign Zakaria this summer, with Juventus facing problems in striking a deal despite their UEFA Champions League status.
Liverpool were eager to sign a midfielder in the summer following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum. And now, it looks like the Reds could be landing their replacement for the Dutchman in Zakaria.
Zakaria could be latest Liverpool transfer hit after Juventus update

Liverpool have been experts in the transfer market in recent years, and with Juventus seemingly out of the race for Zakaria, the Reds now have a golden chance to land their latest masterclass in the window.
The midfielder is an all-rounder who can bring depth and quality to the Liverpool squad. And for a free transfer, the Reds will struggle to find a better value-for-money signing this summer than Zakaria.
