According to Marca, Sevilla are open to selling Diego Carlos in the summer transfer window, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs interested in him.

Marca has reported that Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in signing Carlos, with Sevilla willing to sell the 27-year-old central defender this summer.

The report in the Spanish publication has claimed that although the release clause in the Brazilian’s contract is €75 million (£68.22 million), he could be sold for €60 million (£54.57 million).

The Telegraph reported earlier this week that Tottenham are interested in signing the former Nantes star.

Stats

Carlos has made 34 appearances in La Liga for Sevilla this season, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

The former Nantes man has also made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for the Spanish club this campaign, according to WhoScored.

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool?

Carlos is at the top of his game and has done well for Sevilla this season, and since both Liverpool and Tottenham could do with a new central defender this summer, the Brazilian would be a smart signing for the Reds or Spurs.
