According to HLN, Chelsea want to sell Michy Batshuayi and have offered the striker to Leeds United.

It has been reported by the Belgian news outlet that Leeds – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – are now considering whether or not it is worth paying €25 million (£22.63 million) for the 26-year-old, described as ‘a powerful, fast striker’ on Chelsea’s official website.

Patrick Bamford is the first choice striker at Leeds, and head coach Marcelo Bielsa needs to bring in another player for the position.

Stats

Batshuayi has been on the books of Chelsea since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Marseille.

The striker was expected to be a big success at Stamford Bridge, but he has failed to make a huge impact at the Blues, and has been out on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace in recent years.

During the 2019-20 campaign, the 26-year-old made one start and 15 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Frank Lampard’s side, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

The Belgium international also scored one goal in four Champions League substitute appearances for Chelsea in 2019-20, according to WhoScored.
