According to ESPN, Barcelona are open to selling Arturo Vidal in the summer transfer window, amid speculation regarding Newcastle United.

According to ITA Sport Press, Vidal is open to joining Newcastle from Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the 33-year-old Chile international midfielder will move to Premier League club but only if his former Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri makes the move as well.

ESPN has claimed that Barcelona are open to selling the former Bayern Munich star, although the player himself recently said that he is happy at Camp Nou, as quoted in The Daily Mail.

Blockbuster signing for Newcastle United

Vidal may be past his prime, but the Chilean can still do a brilliant job for a top club for the next two years.

Newcastle are on the verge of being taken over by a Saudi Arabia-backed consortium, as reported by The Sun, and the former Juventus star – described by Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta as “technically a very gifted player”, as quoted on CDF earlier this month (click here to read more) – would be a blockbuster signing for the Magpies.
