Liverpool reportedly want to sign the Lille winger.

Lille president Gerard Lopez spoke exclusively to French media outlet RMC Sport, and claimed that Liverpool have held talks with Nicolas Pepe’s agent.
The 24-year-old was in superb form for Lille last season, racking up 23 goals and 12 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions, and he would undoubtedly be an excellent addition for the Reds.
Liverpool could really do with another world class attacker to help provide competition for their magnificent current front three, and Pepe could be just the man for the job.
French publication L’Equipe claims that the Ivory Coast international could be sold for around €90 million (£80 million) this summer, and on the face of it, that seems like a lot of money to pay for someone who is only proven in Ligue 1.
Lille president Gerard Lopez claimed that Liverpool have been in talks with the player’s agent nonetheless, when speaking exclusively to French media outlet RMC Sport:

“I know there have been discussions with the player, not with us as a club, Liverpool has players in those positions, and I read that maybe there was players who leave, or not. I am not particularly focused on Liverpool. But it is true that there have been discussions with agents.”
Pepe possesses blistering pace and plays with a certain kind of directness that makes him tailor made for Klopp’s setup at Liverpool.
Whether the German believes that the Reds need another big money signing this summer, however, remains to be seen.
