Lyon are interested in signing Celtic ace Moussa Dembele, according to Jean-Michel Aulas.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas spoke to reporters today, and admitted that he wants to bring Celtic’s Moussa Dembele to the Groupama Stadium before Friday’s transfer deadline, as quoted by STV News.

The 22-year-old joined the Hoops from Fulham in the summer of 2016, and he has gone on to establish himself as a real hit at Parkhead, scoring 51 goals in 94 appearances in all competitions.

Dembele’s time with Celtic has seen him become a hot commodity within the game, and it would be no surprise to see him leave Glasgow, if a substantial offer is made for his services.

Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to keep hold of the Frenchman, however.

If he is to remain at Parkhead, Celtic will have to resist the overtures of Lyon if Jean-Michel Aulas’ comments are anything to go by.

The Ligue 1 club’s president told reporters how he has already contacted the Hoops hitman, as quoted by STV News:

“We are interested in Dembele. We got in touch with him, he’s interested. It’s a possible path, but there are others.”

Quite how much it will take to tempt Celtic into selling remains to be seen, but as the Scottish giants have proven in the past, every player has a price.
