Vitoria Guimaraes are reportedly open to selling Ibrahima Bamba in the January transfer window, with Arsenal one of the clubs watching the 20-year-old midfielder.
According to O Jogo, the Portuguese side are warming to the side of offloading Bamba in the coming weeks, with the youngster regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the Primeira Liga as well as a player that Vitoria could recoup a big transfer fee for.
As per the report, Bamba currently has a release clause of €30m (£25m), and clubs such as Arsenal, Atalanta and PSG are all keeping tabs on the Italian-born midfielder, who could now be set to be sold by Vitoria in the January market.
Central midfield is a position Arsenal are looking to add to next month, with a young player seemingly on Mikel Arteta’s agenda based on the names the north London side have been linked with over the past few months.

And Bamba more suits the profile of player Arsenal are looking to sign, with the midfielder being lauded by TuttoMercatoWeb as ‘very gifted’ following an impressive season with Vitoria, which has seen the youngster’s stock rise considerably.
Indeed, Bamba’s style of play hints at the midfielder being a perfect long-term replacement for Thomas Partey with the Italian naturally an anchor-man with the ability to play as a centre-back. And for Arsenal, the 20-year-old could be an option in the January market.
Vitoria selling Ibrahima Bamba should be of note for Arsenal

Bamba has enjoyed a breakout year in Portugal with Vitoria, and the Primeira Liga side’s openness to offloading the midfielder could be a strong hint that Os Vimaranenses are keen to take the payday rather than further develop the youngster’s qualities, something that could appeal to Arsenal.
Whilst there are seemingly other midfield targets out there who are higher on Arsenal’s transfer list, Bamba would be a smart addition for the north London side given the 20-year-old’s accolades this season and how exciting the youngster’s potential could be with the right development plan.
