Bayern Munich would prefer to avoid negotiating with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy amid interest in Eric Dier.

That is according to a report from Bild.

It states that Bayern are tired of dealing with Levy after the whole Harry Kane saga, complicating any potential pursuit of Eric Dier.

The same outlet claims that the German giants want to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea but are also considering other options, such as Tottenham’s English defender Dier.

A move to the Allianz Arena would, of course, see Dier reunite with Kane, who has made an instant impact in the Bundesliga.

The 30-year-old has scored three goals in his first two league appearances, grabbing a brace against Augsburg last Sunday.

Eric Dier cannot let Daniel Levy get in his way

If Bayern do come knocking for Dier, the England international has to convince Levy to not make life difficult for the Bundesliga champions.

All things considered, a transfer before the window closes would probably be best for him and a switch to Bayern would be some move.

Dier is unlikely to be an important player for Ange Postecoglou this season, having failed to make an appearance in any of Tottenham’s first four games in the new campaign, including their recent Carabao Cup defeat to Fulham.

Bayern are also one of the biggest clubs in world football, winning trophies each year, and are in the Champions League. With that and the above in mind, the £85,000-a-week (Spotrac) Tottenham star joining Thomas Tuchel’s side sounds like a no-brainer.

However, it seems that any move could come down to whether Bayern are able to land Chalobah or not and are willing to negotiate with Levy again.

The transfer window obviously closes this week, so you can expect Dier’s future to be sorted very soon, with a move to Germany evidently a possibility.
