Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly handed central defender Evan Ndicka a contract extension despite the Frenchman looking set to leave the club in 2023 amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham.
According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, the 23-year-old has been handed a written contract extension until 2023, with Frankfurt keen to keep Ndicka at the club beyond his current deal as well as ensure the Bundesliga talent doesn’t leave for anything next summer.

Ndicka’s current deal is due to expire in 2023 at the end of this season, and both Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing the centre-back, with CalcioMercto reporting that AS Roma are also in the race for the UEFA Europa League winner.
Bild have previously reported that Frankfurt value Ndicka at €28m (£24m), yet with the defender heading into the final six months of his contract in January, there’s a strong chance that the centre-back could leave the German side for far less than this current transfer fee.
Indeed, it would take quite some convincing from Frankfurt’s side to keep Ndicka in the Bundesliga, though this new contract extension, as per Sky Germany, would make the defender one of the top earners at the club, a proposition that might sway the centre-back into staying.
Ndicka could well sign Frankfurt contract extension despite interest

Interest from the likes of Arsenal, Roma and Tottenham would be enough to convince many players to leave their current club. However, in the case of Ndicka, there’s a good chance that the centre-back might now stay with Frankfurt given the financial lengths the German side are willing to go to keep the Frenchman.
After all, Frankfurt under Oliver Glasner are one of the most interesting sides in Europe, and there’s a good chance that Ndicka could play a central role to their ever-growing reputation in the game if he commits to the Bundesliga club in the coming weeks.
