Losing Milan Skriniar on a free transfer would be a ‘sensational mistake’ from Inter Milan amid interest from Premier League trio Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, former San Siro ace Antonio Paganin tells Tuttomercatoweb.
The Slovakian centre-back has just over six months remaining on his Nerazzuri contract.
There hasn’t been too much movement on an extension either; Sky Italia reporting that Skriniar is yet to accept a new-and-improved offer of around £100,000-a-week.

“It would be a sensational mistake to lose him for nothing,” Paganin points out.
Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar a target for many Premier League clubs
According to 90Min, there’s a good reason why the £70 million-rated Skriniar is taking his time, weighing up his options. Turning 28 in February, this may be the Slovakia international’s final chance to secure himself a move to another European giant; Liverpool, Manchester City, Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all showing an interest of late.
Calciomercatoweb, meanwhile, believe Newcastle United are also in the race.
And the logic of Inter rejecting colossal bids from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer can certainly be questioned, with there now a very real prospect of Skriniar leaving the 2010 Champions League winners for absolutely nothing.
Skriniar, one of Europe’s finest centre-halves, was a key part of the Inter side who ended their long wait for Scudetto glory under now-Spurs boss Antonio Conte a year-and-a-half ago. Conte’s Tottenham, meanwhile, are long-time admirers of the former Sampdoria stopper.
The London giants failed with a £30 million bid for Skriniar back in 2020. Inter Milan were refusing to sell for a penny less than £55 million at the time.
“Skriniar has also been linked with Chelsea. I think it’s a signing that both clubs (Chelsea and Spurs) need,” former Premier Leauge goalkeeper Shaka Hislop tells ESPN.
“Skriniar makes absolutely perfect sense for Antonio Conte. And he’s probably in pole position. But you also understand Chelsea’s interest.”
