Manchester United reportedly prefer to loan out Anthony Martial to Juventus this month, with Newcastle United and Tottenham both recently making offers for the attacker.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb via GIFN, the Red Devils have identified Juventus as their preferred loan destination for Martial. The winger is set to leave the club this month after struggling for regular minutes under Ralf Rangnick.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, both Newcastle and Tottenham have made approaches to sign Martial this month. However, United turned down both offers from the Premier League clubs.

Both Martial and United are not sold on the idea of joining a Premier League side, and it appears that Juventus will win the race for the 26-year-old attacker. The Bianconeri are keen to add more quality to their frontline this month.

Sevilla are also in the mix for Martial, however, Juventus still lead the race to sign the French international, who United signed in 2015 for a deal worth a reported £58m according to BBC Sport.

For Newcastle and Tottenham, this update should signal the end of their interest in Martial, who could be a Juventus player in the coming week with the transfer window closing in a matter of days.

Both Newcastle and Tottenham seem eager to sign an attacker this January, yet with Martial now likely to join Juventus, both Premier League clubs can now have the excuses needed to look for alternatives in the market.

Indeed, with the forward hardly playing for United this season, the Premier League clubs could do better this January in signing an attacker. And for Martial, a move to Italy with Juventus could be what’s needed to revive his once-promising career.
