According to Sport, Barcelona could be forced to sell Martin Braithwaite in the summer transfer window, with Everton and West Ham United reported to be interested in the forward.

It has been reported by the Spanish publication that Barcelona’s financial situation could force them to listen to offers for Braithwaite.

The La Liga giants secured the services of the 29-year-old forward only in February as an emergency signing for €18 million (£16.32 million) due to injuries to Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele, as reported by Sport.

However, the former Middlesbrough man has struggled for playing time, and, according to the report, Barcelona could be forced to sell him this summer due to their financial situation.

Boost for Everton and West Ham United

This latest report in Sport will come as a boost for Everton and West Ham, with both the Premier League clubs linked with a summer move for the former Leganes forward.

Sport reported in March that the Toffees and the Hammers want to sign the former Toulouse forward.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Braithwaite has made three starts and six substitute appearances in La Liga for Barcelona this season, scoring one goal in the process.
