The former Sheffield United full-back Harry Sheppeard is back in football four months after the Blades released him.
Sheppeard spent two years on Sheffield United’s books, after being picked up from non-league Tadcaster Albion.
But despite playing regularly at under-23 level, the 21-year-old failed to break into Chris Wilder’s first-team plans.
And he has now returned to his former club, as confirmed on the official Tadcaster Twitter page earlier.
Sheppeard’s arrival comes hot on the heels of that of the former Leeds United midfielder Romario Vieira.
Unlike his twin brother Ronaldo – who now plays for Hellas Verona on loan from Sampdoria – Vieira never made a senior appearance for Leeds, and has spent the past two years battling injury – without a club.
Tadcaster are closely linked to the i2i football academy from which both Sheppeard and Vieira emerged.

i2i’s former technical director is the ex-Sheffield United and Leeds United striker Richard Cresswell.
Sheppeard follows several other freed Sheffield United youngsters, such as Callum Gribbin (Barrow), Jake Young (Forest Green Rovers) and Harrison Foulstone (Gainsborough Trinity), in finding a new club.
