Queens Park Rangers are currently in 20th place in the Championship table.

Clive Allen has admitted on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 28th December, that he fears for Queens Park Rangers.

QPR have lost their last six matches in succession, and were beaten 3-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion in their most recent outing.

Rangers never threatened Brighton in the contest, with their performance being alarmingly poor.

QPR have now failed to hit the back of the net in their last four matches, and have slipped all the away down to 20th place in the Championship table.

And Allen admits that he is concerned about his former side’s poor displays since Ian Holloway took charge.

“I really fear for QPR,” Allen admitted. “I thought Ian going back in there was the right fit at the right time, and he’s really passionate. But the alarming thing is there hasn’t been a response.

“He’s finding it very difficult working with the group he has. I think it’s going to be a very tough second half of the season. When you’re in a bad run of form, it’s difficult to turn that around.”

QPR are currently just three points above the drop zone, and there are fears that they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

Holloway was appointed to try and guide Rangers into the play off mix, but things have not gone according to plan so far.

QPR are next in action on New Year’s Eve, when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
