Yesterday finally saw Tottenham Hotspur agree a deal with Marseille to sign French under-21 international Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.

The deal had been held up for 40 days for various reasons but Spurs fans were very pleased to finally see the saga end last night.

Marseille got Clinton N’Jie in return.

The attacker joins on an initial loan spell and will be looking to resurrect things slightly after a stale campaign at Spurs.

But he does feel he has learned a lot during his time at White Hart Lane.

Speaking to the official Marseille club website the Cameroonian international stated:

“I think, first of all, in England there aren’t any ‘small’ games.

“Everyone tries to win. There is really that spirit of trying to win matches.

“I think mentally I learned a lot with my injury and my situation last season. I think I have really learned a lot mentally.”

N’Jie certainly had to battle tough times during his time at Spurs last season.

He had injury problems throughout his period at White Hart Lane and featured in just 14 games for the club, failing to start a single Premier League game in 2015-16.

Spurs will be hoping for a bigger contribution from N’Koudou after finally concluding this deal. As for N’Jie, he will be hoping to thrive at Marseille and prove himself worthy of a place at Spurs after his tough 12 months.
