The Tottenham Hotspur loanee has been commenting on his difficult transfer to Marseille.

It was certainly one of the transfer sagas of the summer as Tottenham Hotspur battled to complete a deal for Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to arrive at White Hart Lane from Marseille.
One of the apparent hold ups in any deal surrounded the future of Clinton N’Jie.
The Cameroonian attacker was only signed by Spurs last summer but was deemed surplus to requirements after a tough debut campaign at the Lane.

He was expected to go the other way as part of any deal but it was reported he was not keen on the move on a number of occasions – with suggestions he would have preferred a return to former club Lyon.
The player himself has now opened up on the transfer dealings.

Speaking to La Provence, as relayed by FootMercato, he admitted his affinity for his former club but that ultimately, the decision to join Marseille was his own:
“Lyon was not the only interested club. OL had come true, but there were other clubs who showed interest.
“It took some time to do, but today I am happy and proud to be here, to wear the jersey of OM. I was not relaxed until August 31st!
“Lyon trusted me, that’s where I signed my first professional contract, I cannot forget it. This is a club that I have in my heart, that formed me, which allowed me to progress.
“Sometimes, you have to take the next step. That’s the decision I have taken. I’m in Marseille, it is not (just) any team.”

The move was certainly a protracted one and at times many felt the Tottenham star was going to scupper the deal that saw N’Koudou head to London.
But he will now be focused on proving himself once again, after a difficult campaign with Spurs in 2015-16.
