Pierre-Michel Lasogga has gone through an extremely mixed loan spell since arriving at Leeds United.

Lasogga arrived on loan at Elland Road from Hamburg in the summer, and made an immediate impact as he scored twice on his debut, hinting that he could prove to be the perfect replacement for Chris Wood.

He has scored three goals since taking his total to five goals in just 10 Championship appearances. But while that is undoubtedly an impressive strike-rate, a number of his performances have come in for criticism this term, with his effort and work-rate being questioned as Leeds’ form has dropped off in recent weeks.
And Morrison also suggested that he had been left unimpressed by the German, insisting that he often does not do enough for the team.

“He doesn’t cause enough problems in the Championship, it doesn’t look like he’s adapted to it. He doesn’t touch the ball enough and doesn’t cause defenders problems.”
Lasogga is undoubtedly not the only player in Thomas Christiansen’s squad whose performances have left a lot to be desired in recent weeks.
But with the 25-year-old quite clearly Leeds’ first choice striker option, he will be one of the players that Christiansen relies on the most to help the side’s fortunes around in the coming weeks following the international break.
