Ibrox ace Josh Windass found the back of the net for Rangers in their 2-1 away win at Hibernian.
Josh Windass continues to sparkle in Graeme Murty’s diamond formation and the in-form attacker has now drawn praise from former Rangers star Clint Hill on Twitter.
Windass, 23, scored his sixth goal of the season for Rangers on Wednesday night as the Gers came from behind for a second successive match to earn a fantastic three points against Neil Lennon’s Hibernian.
The former Accrington Stanley ace, who is the son of Dean Windass, has now found the back of the net five times in his last eight Scottish Premiership outings which has seen Murty begin to play the midfielder as a striker.
Windass posted a tweet after the match of a cartoon burglar, stating “hopefully no one sees us”. Former Rangers defender Hill replied, posing “you’re on fire” to Rangers’ number 11 as the Gers remain in second behind Celtic.
It has now seen Murty win four wins on the trot and six out of eight since taking over as interim manager following the sacking of Pedro Caixinha back in October.
He has been given until the new year to manage the Ibrox club, as the Gers board look for a successor, but his excellent form in the dugout has continued to strengthen his chances of getting the job permanently.
Rangers earned all three points thanks to Windass’ equaliser after Lewis Stevenson’s deflected effort put Hibernian in the lead, before Alfredo Morelos dumbfounded the Hibs defence before smashing home just before half-time.
