A Queens Park Rangers supporter has begged Clint Hill to return to Loftus Road as a coach.
The R’s were smashed 4-0 by Nottingham Forest in their final game before the international break, and @alex88420316 wrote: “Please come qpr as a coach have a word cos you could teach some of these stupid defenders a thing or two”.
And Hill, who is still playing for Carlisle United at the age of 39, is open to the suggestion, replying: “If ever there was a chance I’d be up for it mate”.
Hill spent six years at Queens Park Rangers, eventually leaving west London at the end of his contract last summer.
But the Liverpudlian, who spent the 2016-17 season at Glasgow Rangers, came close to a return in September this year, featuring in the R’s Under-23s’ 5-0 win against Bolton Wanderers.
Despite suffering from a shortage of defenders, however, QPR said they were unable to agree a deal for Hill, who later signed for Carlisle.
Hill, who has also played for Tranmere, Oldham, Crystal Palace, Stoke and Nottingham Forest, made 185 appearances and was part of two promotion-winning sides in his time at Loftus Road.
