McCrorie has impressed for Rangers since Hill’s summer departure from Ibrox.

Former Rangers captain Clint Hill has been asked for his assessment of Ibrox starlet Ross McCrorie on Twitter.
Hill and McCrorie were defensive colleagues at Rangers last season, however the former’s exit has provided the Auchenhowie product with a platform to impress.
That, he has undoubtedly done, although most recently in an unfamiliar central midfield role.
And responding to one Rangers fan earlier on Friday, Hill said:
Ross has made it look so easy,a massive asset for the team and the club. Important we give him the time and space to learn his trade as a young player, without putting to much pressure on him. https://t.co/XJ4NTWo1Sf
Despite his advancing years, Hill’s solitary season at Rangers was deemed a success by many, and he remains popular among the Ibrox faithful even after his departure on a free transfer.
The 39-year-old trialled at former club QPR in the autumn, before signing a full-time deal at Carlisle United.

He was essentially replaced by veteran Portugal international Bruno Alves, whose injury enabled McCrorie to establish himself within the first team.
The 19-year-old has played 14 times for Rangers’ first team this season, and has been on the winning side on all five of his midfield outings.
