Graeme Murty has worked wonders at Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, Clint Hill has praised Graeme Murty for the work that he has done with Rangers and believes the 43-year-old could stake a serious claim for the full-time job by winning a trophy.
Murty has transformed Rangers from a struggling, inconsistent side to potential Premiership contenders after replacing Pedro Caixinha in October, before earning the job until the end of the season in December after the Gers tried and failed to hire Derek McInnes.
But failing to land the Aberdeen is looking more and more like a blessing in disguise for Rangers, who bring a six-match winning streak into Sunday’s visit of Celtic at Ibrox.

Victory would see Murty’s side move within three points of the Premiership leaders – who have a game in hand – and the Gers also face Brendan Rodgers’s outfit in a Scottish Cup semi-final next month.
Hill briefly played under the former Reading defender when he acted as a stop-gap option in between Mark Warburton’s dismissal and Caixinha’s appointment 12 months ago, and the former defender believes that the “great man” stands a very good chance of getting the job on a permanent basis.
“They know that they’ve got a great man in charge now who’s found that stability, who has progressed the team to another level from last season,” he told BBC Scotland.

“There’s a lot of positives for him to take and I’m sure the club will be looking at it as well. They wouldn’t have given the job to him if they didn’t think he could do it.
“I’m pretty sure if he does well, challenges and gets into the [Scottish Cup] final then I’m sure he’s got a great shout of getting the job. To judge success you need to win trophies and hopefully that’s the next step for Graeme and the club.”
