Clint Hill has praised Rangers duo David Bates and Ross McCrorie on social networking site Twitter.

The former Rangers defender, who spent the 2016-17 season at Ibrox, believes that both centre-backs Bates and McCrorie have bright futures.

Bates is 21 years of age and joined Rangers on a permanent contract in January 2017 following a loan spell from Raith Rovers.

McCrorie is 19 years old and has established himself in the first team at Ibrox, having the versatility to play either as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder.

Ross McCrorie of Rangers vies with Stuart Armstrong of Celtic during the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Hill, now at Carlisle United in League Two in England, believes that the two young Rangers players have bright futures ahead of them.

The 39-year-old former Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers defender has also wished Myles Beerman the best of luck on his loan spell.

The 18-year-old left-back has joined Scottish Championship club Queen of the South on loan from Rangers in the January transfer window for the rest of the season.
