Clint Hill oversaw Rangers new signing Sean Goss’ development at QPR, and has now given his verdict on the latest Ibrox recruit.

Clint Hill of Rangers is seen on arrival at the stadium prior to the Scottish Cup Semi-Final match between Celtic and Rangers at Hampden Park on April 23, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Former Rangers veteran Clint Hill has described his old side’s newest signing Sean Goss as “technically very good” on Twitter after Graeme Murty’s side lured him to Ibrox on loan.

Goss, 22, has joined the Gers on loan until the end of the 2017-18 campaign from Championship side QPR, becoming Murty’s first signing at Ibrox since being given the job until the end of the season.

Hill trained with German-born Englishman Goss for a matter of weeks after returning to QPR following his release by Pedro Caixinha at the end of the 2016-17 season, as confirmed by the English side’s official website.

Now with Carlisle United in League Two, Hill responded to a Rangers fan asking what he thought of former Manchester United man Goss. He replied with a positive verdict on the midfielder, which is sure to excite fans.

Joining QPR in January 2017 from Old Trafford, Goss made six appearances for the R’s last season but has fallen down the pecking order under Ian Holloway this time around.

He has failed to make a single appearance this season, which has led to fans questioning Goss’ quality. The two-time Under-21 Premier League champion could make his Gers debut against Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup on January 21.
