Rangers earned a 2-0 win over Partick on Tuesday night.

Former Rangers defender Clint Hill has heaped praise on his old side on Twitter after the Gers scored a marvellous team goal to break the deadlock on Tuesday night against Partick Thistle.
Graeme Murty watched on as his side earned a 2-0 win over Alan Arhicbald’s men at Firhill, thanks to goals from versatile forward Josh Windass and right-back James Tavernier.

Windass, 24, scored his 11th goal of the season in all competitions after Rangers started the move with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham before intricate play that involved David Bates, Daniel Candeias, Jason Cummings saw Windass finish.
Hill, who endeared himself to Rangers fans during the 2016-17 season at Ibrox, was mightily impressed by Windass’ goal and posted as much on Twitter.
The win opens up a five-point gap between the Gers and Neil Lennon’s Hibernian between third and fourth, while the Light Blues now remain three points behind Aberdeen and 11 off Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Gers are next in action on Sunday afternoon in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup as they go up against third-tier outfit Ayr United, who are managed by former Rangers midfielder Ian McCall.
