Lee Wallace has been released by Scottish Premiership giants Rangers, reuniting with Mark Warburton at Queens Park Rangers.

Lee Wallace’s miserable year at Rangers has come to an end. And Clint Hill is thrilled for his former Ibrox team-mate.
A modern-day club hero, Wallace’s emotional departure from Rangers was hardly the joyous celebration he, or the fans, would have been hoping for.
Instead, the long-serving left-back was ushered out of the back door after a dreadful 12 months in which he lost his captain’s armband, was suspended for first-team activity and then slipped irreparably down the pecking order.
Wallace has been handed a fresh start south of the border at Queens Park Rangers, however, joining the London club on a two-year deal.
And Hill, the QPR legend who played alongside Wallace during the 2016/17 season at Ibrox, is more than happy to see his former team-mate get his career back on track with a move to Loftus Road.
“It’s a good move for both parties,” the former centre-back told the club’s official website.

“Lee is a great leader and influence in the dressing room and I saw that first hand. He has been through the good and bad times at Rangers and that shows the type of character he is.”
QPR manager Mark Warburton knows just how influential Wallace can be on and off the pitch. He handed the former Hearts star the captain’s armband immediately after taking over at Rangers in 2015 – and that speaks volumes.
And following a year out of first-team action, Wallace is well placed to force his way into QPR’s starting XI with Jake Bidwell on his way out of Loftus Road.
