Clint Hill is a popular figure amongst Glasgow Rangers fans following his brief spell at Ibrox.

Clint Hill has suggested that Alfredo Morelos has been Rangers’ signing of the season so far when asked by a Gers supporter on Twitter, while he also reserved praise for Ross McCrorie.

Morelos has proved to be a revelation since arriving at Ibrox in the summer, scoring eight times for the Light Blues. And while his recent run without a goal may be causing concern, his performances have arguably still been of the highest quality with the Colombian making a real impact for his teammates to exploit.

Similarly, McCrorie – though not a summer signing – has won a lot of supporters over with some extremely bright displays. And, of course, he opened his account for the club by scoring the opening goal in the win over Partick Thistle before the international break.

And Hill was full of praise for both men, singling Morelos out when asked by a fan on Twitter who Rangers’ best summer signing has proved to be.

Ross McCrorie of Rangers vies with Jack Aitchison of Celtic during The Scottish FA Youth Cup Final between Celtic and Rangers at Hampden Park on April 26, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Though Pedro Caixinha’s tenure – the shortest managerial spell in the club’s history – will not be remembered particularly fondly by the supporters, the Portuguese can take some credit for the likes of Morelos and McCrorie, who emerged into the first-team during his time in charge.

And with the pair boasting a combined age of just 40, there is surely the potential for the pair, along with some of the exciting youngsters coming through at Ibrox, to help build a spine for the team that remains for a number of years to come.
