The 38-year-old has been impressive recently for Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers side.
Rangers defender Clint Hill has admitted to RangersTV (via club’s official website) that he felt that he struggled during the early stages of his Ibrox career, before explaining why it took him a while to adapt.
The centre-back’s arrival arguably went somewhat under the radar in the summer, perhaps due to the 38-year-old’s age, and he did little during his first few weeks to suggest that he was going to be much more than a squad player for Mark Warburton’s men.

However, he arguably proved to be the Gers’ best performing central defender in the weeks leading up the international break. And after conceding that things did not quite go to plan initially, he suggested that he may have now turned a corner for the Light Blues.
“To be honest I think I struggled when I first came here, the first few games I wasn’t up to speed with things and I struggled but now I have bedded in and got used to the style of play,” he told RangersTV (via club’s official website).

“Hopefully I will find that level of consistency which I need to stay in the team.
“No disrespect to any other team I have played for but it has been more of a defensive team and I had two banks of four in front of me, more protected and more numbers around me.

“Now we are playing more expansive types of football and we’re trying to win games even when we’re 1-0 up or when you’re 2-0 up you’re still looking to go and score goals.”
In fairness to the former Queens Park Rangers man, the Gers boast a very impressive defensive record in the games in which he has featured.
During the 13 games he has played, Rangers have conceded just seven times and have kept seven clean sheets in all competitions. And with Hill also adding three goals – including a brilliant header against Ross County in the side’s most recent game – it appears that he is quickly establishing himself as a key man for Warburton.
