Nottingham Forest take on Huddersfield Town, Newcastle United, Barnsley, Birmingham City and Bristol City in their next five Championship matches.

We attempt to predict the results of Nottingham Forest’s next five Championship matches.

Huddersfield Town (away) – 2-1 defeat

Huddersfield have been the Championship’s surprise package this season, with their high pressing approach troubling a number of teams.

Forest are set to be heavily tested at the John Smith’s Stadium, and it is hard to see them taking any points from this contest.

Newcastle United (away) – 3-1 defeat

Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez

Newcastle will be looking for revenge here, after Forest beat them at the City Ground earlier in the season.

The Magpies are the standout team in the division, and should have enough to get past Philippe Montanier’s men.

Barnsley (home) – 2-2 draw

Barnsley have been free scoring this season, and look to have the attacking talent to threaten any Championship defence.

However, at the back, they are vulnerable and Forest should be able to at least pick up a point in this contest.

Birmingham City (away) – 1-1 draw

It is hard to see Birmingham improving without Gary Rowett as their manager, so Forest should feel confident of avoiding defeat at St. Andrews.

Bristol City (home) – 2-1 win

Bristol City have struggled of late, despite possessing a talented squad. Forest may just have enough to edge this match.
