Spurs have got the better of Newcastle 1-0 at home in the Premier League, thanks to Son Heung-min’s goal in the 83rd minute.
Tottenham legend Jones was following the game at Wembley Stadium in London, and the former Wales international winger has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the final result.
Jones has also praised the performance of Spurs midfielder Harry Winks, saying that the England international was excellent.
The 23-year-old started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and according to WhoScored, the England international midfielder had a pass accuracy of 89.2%, and made one tackle, according to WhoScored.
Winks was superb in the central midfield role for Spurs, worked hard in the middle of the pitch, and was willing to do the simple things that kept the North London outfit ticking.
The win against Newcastle means that Tottenham are now second in the Premier League table.
