Mark Lawrenson has claimed that Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son is ‘one of the most underrated’ players in the Premier League, as he told Off the Ball.
The former defender added that the Tottenham flyer is ‘so quick’ and ‘such a clever player’.
Over the weekend, Son worked his magic once more when he supplied two assists during his side’s dramatic 3-2 win at Manchester City.
A player signed up during the Mauricio Pochettino reign for £22 million (BBC Sport), the 29-year-old has been a bargain purchase for the club.
BBC pundit Lawrenson spoke in awe of the player and explained why he is one of the most underrated.
“Son continues to be one of the most underrated players in the Premier League,” said Lawrenson.
“He is just so, so quick and subtle. He’s such a clever player.”

Over the years, Son has built quite the partnership with Harry Kane in the attacking third.
The duo, if they combine against Burnley on Wednesday night at Turf Moor, will break the all-time Premier League record held by Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
In truth, it’s just a matter of when, not if, as the duo did combine for the most goals in a single season under Jose Mourinho’s stewardship.
Either way, whatever role Son needs to play, whether it’s drifting in from the left or filling in for Kane down the middle, he can always get the job done.
