Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish leapt to the defence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Grealish had watched footage on talkSPORT, in which Gabriel Agbonlahor was arguing about the validity of some assists.

Agbonlahor used Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s assist for Emile Smith Rowe against Chelsea last night as an example.

He claimed that passing the ball five yards for someone to score a tap-in should not count as an assist – what a bizarre argument.

In retaliation to that strange point, Grealish tweeted the following.

Now, after seeing the England international defend Aubameyang, a number of Arsenal fans have got a bit excited on Twitter.

One said that Grealish was ‘clearly flirting’ with Mikel Arteta’s side.

Another said that he was defending his future captain – they clearly expect to see Aston Villa’s No.10 at the Emirates Stadium one day.

Arsenal have actually expressed an interest in signing Grealish.

According to Sky Sports, the Gunners expressed interest in the 25-year-old back in July, although nothing came of it.

Now, after a stunning Premier League campaign, his value has skyrocketed.

Grealish has scored seven goals, while also recording 12 assists, in just 23 appearances this season.

If he goes to EURO 2020 and excels, his value will surely rise much higher.

If Arsenal do want Grealish, then they’ll have to pull off one of the most expensive deals of all time.

According to The Telegraph, Aston Villa value their talisman at £100 million.

Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Grealish’s message to Agbonlahor…
