Marcelo Bielsa believes that Patrick Bamford can be a ‘very special’ player for Leeds United.
Speaking to Leeds Live, at his latest press conference, Bielsa was asked whether the Leeds forward could learn from Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
And Bielsa said that Bamford does indeed have all the tools to become a ‘special’ marksman, just like Kane is.
“Bamford has qualities like the best strikers in the PL, but the qualities in football are just the starting point,” Bielsa said.
“After what is put in place, the capacity to put your qualities in play and a collective play that allows the quality of this player to shine.
“Bamford is a very, very dedicated professional. He analyses the best scores in the world in detail, in the English league, in the Germany league, in the French league.
“What I have clear is Bamford has all the resources to be a very special player and not been able to achieve it. Why? I feel more responsible than him.”

Bielsa has always been a major fan of Bamford, even when some Leeds fans’ trust in the forward was dwindling.
Bamford has now gone on to fully prove his worth to Leeds this season, after bagging 14 Premier League goals.
The striker actually has only found the back of the net twice in his last 10 outings, but his place in Leeds’ starting line-up is still not in any doubt, due to the qualities that he offers the side.
Bamford will be able to see Kane in action close up at the weekend, as Leeds are due to take on Tottenham tomorrow lunchtime.
