The former midfielder believes Rangers will be competing in Europe again in future.
Claudio Reyna – Glasgow Rangers in action against
Speaking to the club’s official website, former Glasgow Rangers midfielder Claudio Reyna has backed them to be challenging in Europe again in future.
Rangers completed their return to the top flight of Scottish football last season as they won the Scottish Championship.
It is the first big step of their rehabilitation as a club following their demotion down the divisions four years ago.

They were close to securing European football next season too before their defeat to Hibernian in the Scottish Cup final.
Indeed, that defeat was a disappointing one for Gers fans who were eagerly anticipating seeing the club back in Europe next season.
It eventually wasn’t to be, but Reyna believes they can return to challenging once again regardless.
“The goal for a club like Rangers is to have special nights in European competition. It’s something I believe is going to happen,” he told rangers.co.uk.
“This is a big enough club which should still be able to compete even though they don’t have the same financial power as the Premier League clubs or the Spanish clubs.”

It will now be interesting to see if Rangers can return to European football sooner rather than later.
They are expected to challenge Celtic for the title next season and their moves in the transfer window have indicated that they are intending to do.
That is a tough target to set themselves though and perhaps focusing on simply finishing in the European places would be a wiser move.
