Leicester City took on Celtic in the International Champions Cup this weekend.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has praised Celtic’s fans to the club’s official website after the two sides clashed on Saturday afternoon.
The Premier League team met the Scottish side in the International Champions Cup at Celtic Park this weekend.
It proved to be a thrilling game as two super goals saw the sides play out a 1-1 draw and head to a penalty shootout, which Ranieri’s men eventually won 6-5.

It was a chance for the Italian to visit the stadium and sample its unique atmosphere, and he was left impressed by both it and the vocal Celtic support.
“ It was an amazing match. [Celtic Park is] fantastic, and the Celtic fans are very, very good,” he told Celtic TV.

It remains to be seen how both sides get on in the remainder of the tournament this summer.
Brendan Rodgers’ side travel to Ireland take on both Barcelona and Inter Milan while Leicester face up against Paris Saint-Germain in the USA and Barcelona in Sweden.
For them, it could prove to be the perfect summer build up and allow them to analyse just how far they are away from the European giants, who they could meet in the Champions League next season.
