Steve Parish has taken to Twitter after watching footage of Ruben Loftus-Cheek speaking about his time at Crystal Palace.

The £150,000-a-week Chelsea man was asked what he thinks of the south Londoners ahead of this Saturday’s Premier League clash between the Eagles and the Blues.
Loftus-Cheek spent the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Selhurst Park from Chelsea, where he did well enough to earn a place in England’s World Cup squad after making 24 Premier League appearances.
When asked about his time at Crystal Palace, the England international said: “I really developed under Roy (Hodgson). I love going back there, I’ve got a connection with the fans still which is really nice.”
Loftus-Cheek’s comments come after The Sun claimed that Crystal Palace would like to bring the 26-year-old back to south London.
After seeing footage of the Lewisham-born midfielder praising the Eagles, Parish wrote: “Classy. Always good to welcome you back. Here’s to a great game.”
Loftus-Cheek actually scored against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final last season, and Patrick Vieira will be hoping to avoid a repeat of that at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Crystal Palace should ignore Ruben Loftus-Cheek
If Crystal Palace are planning to re-sign one of their old Chelsea loanees, it simply has to be Conor Gallagher instead of Loftus-Cheek.
The latter – as aforesaid – did a fine job at Selhurst Park, although his efforts come nowhere near to what Gallagher achieved.
In 39 appearances last season, the 22-year-old scored eight goals while also providing five assists, which saw him named Player of the Season for Crystal Palace.
Sadly, things haven’t worked out for Gallagher at Chelsea yet, as he endured a nightmare start to the campaign which saw him sent off after just 27 minutes in the 2-1 win over Leicester.
If things do not change under Graham Potter, Crystal Palace must try their hardest to reunite with the Chelsea No.23 in January.
