Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to Leeds United’s official club tweet at kick-off on Monday evening.

The Whites were facing off against Liverpool, but as you can imagine, with the Reds trying to form the European Super League, Leeds’ Twitter account had something to say about it.

Leeds’ Twitter account refused to call Liverpool by their actual name, instead opting to use the term Merseyside Reds, a name that fans of the Pro Evolution Soccer video game series will be very familiar with.

As you can imagine, this tweet sparked a response from the Liverpool fanbase, and perhaps suprirsingly, they had an admiration for the Yorkshire club standing up to the Super League.

Liverpool may be a part of the Super League, but fans aren’t on board with the idea at all, and their responses to this tweet show exactly what they think
