Arsenal went into yesterday’s match having beaten Liverpool only days earlier, but despite facing an uphill task, they deservedly beat Pep Guardiola’s men.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a brace for his side, and in truth should have hit a hat-trick, with Tierney providing the Arsenal hitman with a wonderful assist for his second goal.
The whole of the Arsenal team, including Tierney, were outstanding on the night, with a number of Liverpool supporters appreciating the Scotsman’s display.
Liverpool fans know a quality Scottish left-back when they see one, and they can see the qualities in Tierney’s performance.
