Nacho Monreal and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reacted on Instagram to the ‘class’ goal Danny Welbeck scored for Brighton at the weekend.
Some days have passed since the ex-Arsenal man channelled his inner Johan Cryuff and scored a quite stunning goal against Leeds.
Welbeck brought the ball down by doing a Cruyff turn in the air, before firing his shot low and hard into the bottom corner.
Easy work for the Englishman!
Well, he was reminiscing about that moment on Instragam yesterday, with a few admirers appreciating his talents.
Welbeck’s former Arsenal teammate, Monreal, wrote: ‘Booom, what a class (goal) bro’.
Whilst Aubameyang, who has scored a few class goals during his time, simply responded by saying: ‘Sheeeeeesssshhhh’. Alex Iwobi also commented by calling the versatile attacker a ‘big baller’.
Following relegation with Watford last season, Welbeck was offered a return to Brighton last summer and it’s a move that has paid off.
Welbeck has secured some much-needed regular game time and has been efficient enough to ensure Graham Potter’s men will remain in England’s top-flight this season.
