Gareth Bale has been left seriously impressed by Tottenham Hotspur’s Joe Rodon, after he made a goal saving block in the final minutes for Wales last night.
Bale and Rodon helped their country to a huge three points in World Cup qualifying, as they beat the Czech Republic 1-0.
Bale produced the cross from which Dan James scored, but it was his Tottenham teammate who really saved the day in injury time.
Rodon threw himself in front of a goal-bound shot in the final moments to protect his side’s victory.
And Bale was quick to praise Tottenham’s £15 million man (Sky Sports) on social media website Twitter.
Both Rodon and Bale have been in strong form over the international break, which will surely only lead to more calls for them to start for Spurs.
The duo have often been overlooked by Jose Mourinho this term, but both have really proven their quality over the international break.
Tottenham return to action on Sunday, when they take on Newcastle United.
