Liverpool fans have praised Curtis Jones for backing and showing his support towards Arsenal’s, Bukayo Saka on Twitter.

The Arsenal teenager missed a gut-wrenching penalty as England were beaten on penalties against Italy at the final of Euro 2020 on Sunday.

After the game, Liverpool’s academy product, Jones, made it clear that the Arsenal forward showed nothing but ‘bravery’ and ‘courage’ to stand up and take the fifth spot-kick.

This is what Jones posted on Twitter about Saka:

Whilst some people, such as Roy Keane, question why Saka was put in such a situation, it is one that’s going to take a very long time to get over for the Arsenal youngster.

Gareth Southgate himself missed a semi-final spot-kick against Germany in Euro 1996 – and to this day, it’s still talked about.

The Three Lions boss wasn’t able to get redemption for that moment, but with Saka, he has his career all ahead of him and he can, no doubt, turn that nightmare into a dream coming true one day.

Nonetheless, Liverpool fans agreed with Jones for his comments on Saka, as some backed the possibility of him featuring at the next World Cup.

Given the year delay of Euro 2020, and the next major tournament being played during the winter in Qatar, in next to no time, the next World Cup will be upon us all.

And Liverpool supporters have backed their attack-minded midfielder to put his name forward during these next 18 or so months.
