Some Liverpool and Everton fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Danny Ings against Watford at the weekend.

Ings scored twice for Southampton in their 3-1 victory over Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on Sunday.

The former Liverpool striker found the target first in the 16th minute and then on 70 minutes.

The 27-year-old is now second in the Premier League Top Scorers’ list this season so far.

The England international has scored 18 goals and provided two assists in the league, while Jamie Vardy of Leicester City is the top scorer with 19 goals, as stated on BBC Sport.

Ings joined the Saints on a season-long deal from Liverpool in the summer of 2018, and the move was made permanent last summer for £20 million, as reported by BBC Sport.

The Englishman failed to make a huge impact at Anfield due to injury problems and fierce competition for places, but he is back to his best at Southampton.

Some Liverpool fans were impressed with the display produced by Ings on Sunday, and so were some Everton supporters, with 20-year-old forward Moise Kean having failed to make an impact at Goodison Park this season.
