Jamie Carragher said on Sky Sports Premier League (9:15pm, April 16, 2021) that Everton attacking midfielder James Rodriguez played well against Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Liverpool defender was impressed by the performance of James, as Everton played out a 2-2 draw with Tottenham at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Friday evening.

Carragher was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports Premier League.

The Englishman said about James in the 55th minute of the game on Sky Sports Premier League (9:15pm, April 16, 2021): “He looks a class apart tonight from anyone else on the pitch. It always looks like something is going to happen with the ball at his feet.”

The 29-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, has made 19 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees so far this season, scoring six goals and providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Against Tottenham on Friday evening, James created a brilliant chance for Richarlison, another for Joshua King, and almost scored a goal himself.

According to WhoScored, the 29-year-old took three shots and two were on target, and played four key passes.
