Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been lavishing praise upon Ezri Konsa despite the fact they lost 1-0 to Sheffield United on Wednesday evening.
Villa didn’t get an ideal result as they failed to pick up any points against the team that sits at the bottom of the league, but Konsa did shine against the Blades.
The centre-back has been the centre of attention in recent weeks with a number of pundits praising him, and his performance against Sheffield United will have only added to the conversations surrounding him.
Sadly, Konsa didn’t manage to keep a clean sheet against the Steel City outfit as David McGoldrick scored the game’s only goal, but aside from that moment, it was a rather dominant showing from Konsa at the back.
It would have been easy for fans to air their frustrations online after such a disappointing result, but after such a brilliant season so far, there’s seemingly an air of optimism around the Villa fanbase, and they were quick to give Konsa the praise he deserves.
