Clarence Seedorf believes Manchester United have put a major issue behind them since Michael Carrick took over from Ruben Amorim.
Amorim was let go earlier this month after a 1-1 draw with Leeds. The former Sporting CP manager had fallen out with the Ineos leadership in the weeks leading up to his exit.
He had been in charge at Old Trafford for just over a year, having replaced Erik ten Hag in 2024.
After Amorim left, Darren Fletcher stepped in as caretaker before Carrick was given the interim role.

Carrick has made an immediate impact as Manchester United’s interim head coach, guiding the team to back-to-back Premier League wins.
The 44-year-old was in charge for United’s impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester City at Old Trafford and then followed it up with a hard-fought 3-2 win against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Speaking to Amazon Prime Video, Seedorf believes the next permanent manager needs to be a good fit for the talent already in place at Old Trafford.
“Well, I don’t know much about the inside of Manchester United, but I think Man United [have] very good players, and I think that any manager [who] will be perfect needs to be playing the best players,” the Dutchman said.

Kobbie Mainoo made his first Premier League start of the season under Carrick and played the full 90 minutes of Man Utd’s encounter with Manchester City.
The midfielder kept his spot for United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal, playing another full match in the middle of the park.
Mainoo had slipped down the pecking order during Amorim’s time in charge, and Seedorf believes that was a mistake by the Portuguese coach.
He stated: “For example, Kobbie should be playing.
“Those are basic things. So when you have a team where you actually elevate your most important talents, then things will get through. Keep things simple.
“Get a manager that is a people manager that knows how to, you know, create the right environment for those talents to rise.”
On Sunday evening, Mainoo delivered the decisive pass for Manchester United’s winner against Arsenal in the Premier League.
