Liverpool should consider a move for the Lazio hitman.

Jurgen Klopp, Manager of Liverpool looks on during a training session on April 9, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

According to a report from the Daily Express, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is desperate to bring an established striker into Anfield this summer, in an effort to provide more competition for Roberto Firmino.

Whoever Klopp does sign will have to be of the very highest quality, and with this in mind, the Reds should consider a move for Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile.

The Italian was in sensational form for the Serie A side last season, scoring 41 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions, and at 28-years-old, he is now entering the very prime years of his career.

Unlike his name suggests, Immobile possesses fantastic movement, and is a lethal finisher. He would provide really stringent competition for Firmino up front, and he would also provide Klopp with the option of playing two up front, should the need arise.

Every Love Island contestant if they were an England player – World Cup!

The 32-capped Italy international is heavily experienced in playing at the very highest level, and boasts an impressive career record of 175 goals in 327 appearances.

He always looks to make penetrating runs in behind the opposition’s defence – something that will be a pleasant change for Liverpool fans, with Firmino more prone to dropping deep and linking up play.

According to the Mirror, Immobile could be available for around £45 million this summer, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for the Merseyside outfit.

And if Klopp does manage to bring him to Anfield, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Liverpool.
